DONN LISTON has lived an Amazing Alaskan life!
DONN lived in Alaska since 1962, and the Anchorage suburb of Eagle River since 2010. He was a reporter for the Anchorage Daily News during AK pipeline construction (1970s), and a certified teacher who taught Adult Basic Education during the last 10 years of his career. DONN was selected as a 2013 BP Teacher of Excellence for work with Nine Star Education and Employment, teaching ABE and career development classes in the basement of the Mt. View Community Center and also at Mat-Su Job Center in Wasilla.
As a trained journalist & teacher DONN advocates for good governance through intelligent public policy choices and integrity of public officials based on the State Constitution and Statutory Law. Filipinos seek the same thing as a First-World nation that chose Independence from USA.
DONN worked as a Legislative Aide to Rep. Lora Reinbold during the 2018 session in Juneau. DONN had previously worked as Legislative Aide to Rep John Lindauer in 1983. He then went on to reside in the AK capital of Juneau 20 years. DONN was appointed to three AK State Education Commissions by Gov. Mike Dunleavy.
Upon retiring from teaching in 2017 DONN had embarked upon a quest to document the story of what has occurred in Alaska, as he has witnessed it change, since statehood in 1959 and with great wealth from North Slope Oil Development since the late 1970s.
DONN began this quest with a simple blogspot: https://donnliston.blogspot.com/2022/03/the-man-legend-publiicity-stunt.html set up by Atlanta, GA huckster Bill Borden, who stole the business of DONN’s own name including Facebook account, and moved it to Georgia! https://www.facebook.com/donnliston. Borden set DONN up for this fraud at the darkest time of DONN’s life–upon death of his wife of 29 years, Cathy Liston on February 24, 2019. DONN became a hostage on Borden’s High Caliber Realty, Inc. (sic) plantation. When DONN caught them in an Alaska real estate scam, Bordens had DONN arrested and incarcerated on false criminal charges later totally dismissed by the ANC District Attorney. Alaska courts rewarded Borden’s criminal behavior by awarding them everything in divorce of a sham marriage between two seniors on fixed incomes.
The Borden team violated DONN financially and emotionally using Lawfare in a USA state that has become rife with crime and corruption.
After a life of participating and contributing as a law-abiding Christian Alaskan, DONN was forced into exile in Philippines December 6, 2022 for fear of his life; Bordens had burglarized his rural home and stolen the Ring Security System to let him know as a senior Alaskan he was never again safe there alone.
In Philippines DONN has embraced a dynamic culture, humanity, and simpler and more fulfilling lifestyle. This has inspired DONN to continue producing quality content documenting Alaska’s decline through multiple long-form stories. Nearly 100 Postcards from Philippines tell of Asian discovery.
